How pricing works
Our prices show on the booking page. Here is what sets them, and what to expect before you pay.
A braid day is priced by the work in it, which is mostly time.
Size of the part: smaller parts mean more braids
Finished length: longer braids take longer
Added hair: who supplies it, and how many packs
The style: knotless, cornrows, twists or crochet
What the consultation covers
For small knotless and any day over eight hours, a short text or phone consultation comes first. We look at a photo, your hair and the day you want, and give you a plan and a time estimate. Whether a consultation is charged is the studio's own policy.
Deposits
A deposit holds your day and goes toward your service. The booking page shows the deposit for the style you choose.
Canceling or running late
We ask for 48 hours' notice to move a day. If you are late, your braider may shorten the style so the day still ends; the policies page has the details.
How levels set the price
A braider's level, from new braider to senior braider to the owner, sets the price as well as the pace. The booking page shows each braider's level next to their name.
Add-ons and changes on the day
A wash and blow-dry, beads or cuffs, a take-down, or a change to the style on the day are each added to the plan before we start, never after.
Tipping
Tips are welcome and never expected, and you can add one when you pay or hand it to your braider.
Plan the hours first
The planner shows the hours for every size and length, so you know how long the day is before you see the price.
